Illustrated portrait of Rich Yahr, Pre-Prohibition and Wisconsin breweriana collector, featured in the Cone Top + NABA Collector Series

Rich Yahr

Collector · Kewaskum, WI

In 1972, Rich Yahr was given five etched beer glasses from the early 1900s. This formed the beginnings of one of the finest collections ever assembled of breweriana from his native eastern Wisconsin, an area where almost every small town once had its own local brewery.

Rich’s collection focuses on Pre-Prohibition era breweriana. But he also has a stunning array of rare, curved porcelain corner signs from the 1930s and early 1940s that were made for mounting on exterior corners of taverns. In more than 50 years of avid collecting, Rich has amassed a unique array of rare and intriguing brewery artifacts.
