Chris Watt inherited his passion for breweriana from his father and uncle. His collection concentrates on brewery point-of-sale pieces from Reading, Philadelphia, and the Eastern Pennsylvania area, but the rarity and quality of these artifacts seems limitless.
This includes a comprehensive assortment of Pre-Prohibition era lithographs, porcelain corner signs, lithographed tin and reverse-on-glass signs, and more. From the 1930s and 1940s, there are rare, die-cut cardboard and tin-over-cardboard signs coupled with eye-catching lighted advertising like his “bubbler” motion signs and the spectacular translucent, enameled glass examples once made by Philadelphia’s Gill Glass Co. (Gillco). Chris has taken his family legacy to new heights with an enlightened curation of a truly remarkable collection.
